KAYAK VOSS

Packrafts are wide and stable one person rafts. They are much easier to learn than kayaks and are an extremely friendly way to get on the river for the first time. 

 

This fun, guided half day trip will take you on an adventure down the clear waters of Voss' most beautiful river. A very easy and relaxing jouney, where the main aim is to have a good time.

With pristine waters and deep turqoise canyons that will take your breath away, the Raundalen river offers you the ability to see all the way to the bottom of the river bed for most of your journey down river. 

​

We begin the trip by getting you comfortable in your packraft and in the water.  We will explain to you the many features on the river and teach you how you can use them to help you maneuver your packraft easily. We will equip you with the basic techniques and paddling skills you will need to get you and your boat bouncing happily down the river.

You will be guided and supervised by a one of our friendly, experienced and qualified instructors for the duration of the trip, who will ensure your safety at all times, meaning that you can relax, take in the fantastic scenery and enjoy bouncing your packraft down some fun rapids and big bouncy wave trains.

This section or river is perfect for beginners and no previous experience is required.

This unique adventure will take you on an intimate journey down the crystal clear, turquiose waters of the most beautiful river in Voss!

 

On this breathtaking wilderness experience, you will swim, snorkel, play and paddle in the pristine waters and deep emerald canyons of the Raundalen river.

​

 

You will learn about the surrounding nature and local area as well as the history and geology of the river all from the comfort of wide and stable packraft.

 

We start off in a calm pool, where we will get you comfortable maneuvering the packraft and getting in and out of the water into the raft. We will get you confident traversing in an out of the currents as well as understanding how to use the river features to help you maneuver your packraft easily.

 

We will equip you with the basic techniques and paddling skills you will need to get you and your boat bouncing happily down the river through rapids and bouncy wave trains.

 

You will be safely guided down the river by one of our friendly, experienced and qualified guides for the duration of the trip.  We will make a short stop at a beautiful secluded beach where we will provide you with a small locally crafted lunch and refreshments.

 

Our guides will give you a personal and informative insight into the scenery and surrounding nature of the Raundalen as well as talk a little bit about the geology and history of the river.

This trip is designed and tailor made to meet the aims and expectations of experienced packrafters coming to Voss, who are comfortable on grade 3+ rivers.

​

Whether you are in Voss for one day or one week, we will take away the stress and hassle of all of the planning and logistics of your trip.

​

We will plan and organise all of the logistics for you. From checking the water levels, choosing the most suitable river, all transport, guiding and even lunch, meaning that you can relax, enjoy the amazing whitewater and beatiful canyons here in Voss.

 

Our guides and instructors know the rivers here better than most, they are world class coaches and always happy to give some coaching and feedback to help you progress in your paddling. We gaurantee that this intimate experiecne will ensure you get the most out of your time paddling here in Voss.
